Ford Has Upgraded the 2018 Ford Explorer: Cooler, Smarter, and More Tech-Savvy Than Ever

The 2017 Ford Explorer has been a fan-favorite for a while, boasting a handsome exterior, welcoming interior, and plenty of tech, but the 2018 model year promises to only up the ante. If you have the patience, the 2018 Ford Explorer promises more choices, more tech, and a refreshed design language. It’s due to arrive in showrooms this fall, so you don’t have too much longer to wait.



What’s New in the 2018 Ford Explorer SUV?

  • The front and rear fascias have been refreshed with new style details.
  • An available 4G embedded model with a Wi-Fi Hotspot capable of hosting up to 10 devices from as far as 50 feet away!
  • Ford SYNC® and FordPass® allows owners to connect with and control their Explorer remotely; locate, lock, and unlock your vehicle from anywhere in the world, and use the FordPass® app to locate important diagnostic info when you need it!
  • New “Safe & Smart Package” combines driver-assist features into one valuable package. Features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Warning with Brake Support, Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®), Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane-Keeping System, Auto High-Beams, and Rain-Sensing Wipers.
  • Four new exterior color choices: Burgundy Velvet Tinted Clearcoat, Cinnamon Glaxe, Platinum Dune Tricoat, and Blue Metallic.
  • Five new wheel options!

While we still have to wait for the 2018 Explorer to sail into dealerships, we expect them to start rolling in this fall.
